Daniel Springer serves as CEO of DocuSign where he leads more than 2,000 employees worldwide to empower organizations of every size and industry to achieve their digital transformations, helping them make every agreement 100% digital.
Springer has more than 25 years of executive leadership and experience in driving innovation and hyper growth across technology and, specifically, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry.
Prior to DocuSign, Springer served as Chairman and CEO at Responsys for ten years where he transformed and scaled the business from private start up to the leading cross-channel marketing automation platform globally as a publicly traded company. Springer then led the sale of Responsys to Oracle for $1.6 billion. During his tenure, Springer was honored as both a Bay Area Most Admired CEO and Best CEO.
Previously, he was Managing Director of Modem Media and also served as CEO at Telleo, Inc., CMO at NextCard, and a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He started his career at DRI/McGraw-Hill and Pacific Telesis. Springer holds an MBA from Harvard University and an AB in Mathematics and Economics from Occidental College.
Springer serves or has served as a board member at both public and private companies, including iCIMS, Ansira, YuMe, ELOAN (Banco Popular), Heighten, Persado, and eGroups (Yahoo!), as well as at nonprofits, including YearUp, The Urban School, Shop.org, AdTech, The Randall Museum and The San Francisco Friends School.
Chief Operating Officer
Scott serves as the Chief Operating Officer at DocuSign where he orchestrates the company vision, strategy, marketing and enablement efforts across the company.
Scott brings 25 years of leadership experience and a proven track record of driving innovation, market adoption and hyper growth across the technology and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industries to his role at DocuSign.
Previously, Scott held a variety of senior management roles at Responsys – including president of marketing and platform, chief marketing and sales officer and CMO – where he helped transform and scale the business from private start up to the leading cross-channel marketing automation platform globally and a publicly traded company, and later led the sale of Responsys to Oracle for $1.6 billion. During his tenure at Responsys, Scott was named one of The CMO Institute’s Top 10 U.S. CMOs in 2011.
Prior to joining Responsys, Scott held strategy, sales, marketing and product management roles at Topica, Inc., Spark Online, Accenture and Xerox. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from San Diego State University. Scott has served as an advisor and board member for leading private companies throughout Silicon Valley.
Chief Financial Officer
Michael is responsible for overseeing teams driving global financial planning and analysis, revenue operations, accounting, procurement, and investor relations.
Before joining DocuSign’s executive team in August 2015, Michael spent more than four years as CFO at FireEye. He joins the company with more than 15 years of CFO experience in high-growth tech companies and a long track record of leading high-performance financial teams to success.
Prior to his role at FireEye Michael held CFO roles at several technology companies including Mimosa Systems (now part of Iron Mountain), Facebook, IGN Entertainment (now part of NewsCorp), and SonicWALL (now part of Dell). Before SonicWALL, Michael worked as a financial executive at Genesys Telecommunications (now part of Alcatel) and NetApp. He also served on the board of directors and audit committee of 3Par Inc., which was later acquired by HP.
Michael has his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Commerce from Santa Clara University.
Chief People Officer
Joan Burke serves as chief people officer at DocuSign, leading the company’s global human resource function including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, benefits, payroll, reward and recognition, HR information systems, the DocuSign IMPACT Foundation and more.
Burke brings 25 years of leadership experience in designing and implementing innovative, results-oriented HR programs and best practices that create and inspire cultures of innovation and growth to her new role at DocuSign.
Most recently, Burke served in senior vice president of global HR roles at SaaS-industry leaders Marketo and Responsys. Previously, Joan led global human resources for ZipRealty, ShoreTel, Inc., Zantaz, ABHOW, The Industry Standard, and Softnet Systems, Inc. She began her HR career at John Hancock where she took on a variety of roles in building and developing the leading financial services firm’s human capital. Joan has a Bachelor of Arts from Albertus Magnus College.
Outside of the office, Joan is a passionate supporter of The Human Rights Campaign, Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, The Women’s Lunch Place and the AIDS Action Committee. Joan also serves on the Board of Advisors for Glint, Inc.
Head of Product
Ron is an entrepreneurial executive and investor with more than a decade of business and product management experience and 52 issued patents to his name. Ron currently leads Product at DocuSign where he is responsible for product strategy, roadmap and development.
Prior to DocuSign, Ron was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures and Mayfield Fund. Previously Ron was co-founder and President at BOKU, where his responsibilities included creating and managing the BOKU product/service, go-to-market plan, marketing, public relations, business development and corporate development.
Ron served as VP of Product Management at AT&T Interactive, and was responsible for the company’s new and existing advertising products and features generating $1B in revenue annually. Ron served as VP of Product Management at Ingenio leading up to its acquisition by AT&T. Ron began his career as a management consultant with Price Waterhouse where he designed, implemented and customized software for clients including Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Studios, and SAFECO. Ron was CEO and co-founder of The Digs Network, Inc., which was acquired by iDrive.com.
Ron serves on the board of Roku, as well as the board of UCSF Opthamology's fundraising nonprofit That Man May See.
SVP of Engineering
Tom serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering at DocuSign where he leads the development and operations of DocuSign’s industry leading Digital Transaction Management (DTM) platform and eSignature applications.
Driven by a passion for changing the way people work through industry-leading innovation, Tom brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive and technology entrepreneur to his role at DocuSign.
Tom began his career in small startups in the Seattle area. More that 25 years later, he still loves helping businesses scale their development and delivery of cloud services while building a collaborative, execution-oriented team culture. Tom has delivered large scale commercial and consumer cloud services at Apptio and Microsoft. As Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Commerce Division, he also led the development and drove business growth for a number of enterprise applications and systems products focused on analytics, database management, business process management and online commerce.
Tom is a co-founder and active advisor at 9Mile Labs, the premier B2B startup accelerator in the Pacific Northwest. He serves on the board of Annai Systems which is working to address the big data challenges associated with using genomic data in personalized medicine and healthcare improvement. Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
